Question about Netgear Gs105e-200pes
Can the switch be used with the Sunrise TV Box? (So far I have an unmanaged switch between the Sunrise TV Box and the Fritzbox DSL router, which causes problems from time to time).
It doesn't matter if you are using a managed or unmanaged switch. Unless you want to configure specific things in the switch like QoS, etc., it doesn't matter. But if you really had problems and know for sure that it is the switch (which I doubt) then the switch you are using is rubbish to say the least. Unmanaged switches usually work absolutely fine in small home networks.
Mine was installed as follows: Swisscom router, 10 m cable, switch, 25m cable, WLan router as 2nd switch and signal repeater, 5m cable, SwisscomTVBox. Had no malfunctions.
