Can the charger also be used to charge the Samsung Gear S3?
Yep. the right charging pad is "meant" for the galaxy watch/gear s3, so to speak, so that you can charge both smartphone and smartwatch in the same place. However, with both pads you can charge pretty much all wireless charging devices EXCEPT the apple watch ;) (yes, even the iPhone)
