Can I connect a 4K screen like the Philips BDM4037UW (40", 3840x2160) and use it in full resolution?

The adapter has worked on all screens so far. It gets very warm and sometimes it was helpful to connect the power for the first connection (USB C from the MAc Book). After that it always ran wall-free.

I connected a MacBook Pro to a 4K monitor via the LMP hub with HDMI and it works perfectly. Full resolution, 3840 x 2160 pixels.
