A question as a crypto newbie: What actually happens to my coins if the device is defective at some point? I mean, no technical device lasts forever.
With the 12-word recovery seed, the wallet can be saved even if the Trezor is defective. As far as I know, this also works with external wallet providers. The Trezor is only used as an authentication device. A password generator for access, so to speak.
