Question about TP-Link Tapo C100 Home Security

1. Does the camera comply with the ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) standard? 2. Does the camera comply with the RTSP (Real-Time Streaming Protocol) standard? 3. During setup or operation with an open-source camera operating app, does the camera attempt to connect via Wi-Fi to an internet address programmed into the hardware (camera) firmware? 4. If so, why? 5. What is the power consumption in watts when the motion detector is not triggered? 6. What is the power consumption in watts during video recording?

Yes, the Tapo C100 supports ONVIF (Profile S) and RTSP. To use this, you create a dedicated camera account in the Tapo app under "Advanced Settings". You can then use these credentials to connect the camera locally to an NVR, NAS, or third-party software. The initial setup is done via the Tapo app and a TP-Link account, for which the camera connects to the TP-Link servers. This connection is used for setup, remote access via the app, notifications, and firmware updates. It is not required for access via RTSP or ONVIF on the local network.
