The Fairphone is even worth switching from iOS to Android.
Hello, I also want to switch from apple to ios.
what do i have to do, how do i get all the data from the system to the new system?
thank you
[...]i also want to switch from apple to ios[...] huh?! what?! how?!
- i also want to switch from volkswagen to golf/passat/touran?!
- i also want to switch from tea to chamomile/rosehip/etc.?!
Anyone who really seriously(!) wants to switch from Apple to iOS has a big, big problem....
because iOS IS Apple! And Apple(phones) IS iOS!
I hope it is now clear that this is not possible!
Otherwise: Switching from Apple to iOS = nothing works! ;-)
Hi Superburschi, Super thanks for pointing that out. Typos are funny, I get it. But putting so much effort into it, when it should be clear what I wanted to write. iOS -> Android, what can I do?
Well, it wasn't a typo, because the spelling was correct. It was more a logical error or "sloppiness"/carelessness when sending the message. It helps immensely if you proofread your text before you send it.
[...]when actually it should be clear[...] The word "actually" implies a "but". Anyone who answers "I'm actually fine" to the question of how he is, is not(!) fine!
How is the reader supposed to know that [...]I also want to switch from apple to ios[...] "actually" is wrong. Yes, it could mean "switch to Android", but it could just as well mean "switch from Samsung to iOS". These two sentences would then both be logically correct. Which one the sender meant would then be a 50/50 chance.
Switching from iOS to Android is no big deal nowadays. Addresses, calendar entries and appointments, etc. can be exported and imported again. WhatsApp can also be ported more or less easily. You can find lots of help and even tools on the WWW.
By the way, the Fairphone 3 is a great smartphone. (Especially for children and people who are not exploited for it). It's not a hip trendy phone, and it's not a gamer's phone either. But these buyer groups "need" a new device every 6 months anyway to be hip and trendy.
The Fairphone 3 is a good (mid-range) smartphone, built to be used for many years. Thanks to its modular design, practically the entire smartphone can be repaired by yourself, and at absolutely affordable prices. Changing the battery of another smartphone can easily cost up to CHF 150 (Fairphone CHF 30), a display replacement up to CHF 380 / 400 (Samsung Galaxy S10 / Huawei Mate 20/Pro) (Fairphone CHF 90), and so on.
In addition, for once find a reasonably good smartphone in which 2 SIM cards and an SD card can be used at the same time(!!!) - and you can change the battery yourself.
I have finished!
If you want to go one step further with your Fairphone 3, take a look at https://e.foundation/. The installation is not that easy, but it can be done. And if you can do without the 80% crap that is available in the app store, voila. Otherwise there's Fdroid and if you miss something, you can install Aptoide for a short time.
@Superburschi: A typo can also result from logic errors but it seems that you know everything better and have to correct people really super in a forum. Also, take a look at your own nose with your bad logic. Clearly the switch from Apple to iOS is either a mistake or someone is being weird/sarcastic. So take a breath and just ask or leave it alone.
Kaneda2000: Yes switching is not difficult these days. There are a lot of good tutorials.
Superboy. Got it?

"switch from Samsung to iOS".
But switching from the mobile phone to the operating system is not quite right either. I read this statement more and more often.
