Zyxel NXC2500 iCard ZyMESH

Expansion license for the use of unlimited root APs on the WLAN controller NXC2500. The "ZyMesh" feature enables WLAN coverage in locations where no Ethernet cabling is available. Individual wired APs act as root APs, allowing a WDS connection to a more distant repeater AP, which then ensures the connection to end devices.

These repeater APs also support VLAN but must be operated in Data Tunnel Forwarding mode. It is recommended to implement ZyMesh only with dual-radio APs to avoid compromising data transfer rates.

In firmware version 4.1, a maximum of one AP can be used as a root AP by default. If more root APs are needed, an additional ZyMesh license must be purchased.
