Highest image quality:
The optical design of the Sonnar lens, characterized as an apochromat, along with the use of eight anomalous partial dispersion elements, effectively eliminates chromatic aberrations and color fringing for improved clarity and reproduction. A floating elements system is also employed to ensure consistent performance across the entire focusing range, achieving uniform sharpness and illumination. An enhanced ZEISS T* anti-reflective coating has also been applied to significantly reduce ghosting and flare, thereby improving contrast and color fidelity when working under challenging lighting conditions.
Innovative OLED display for showing focus distance:
The Batis series lenses feature the innovative use of an OLED display on the lens barrel that highlights the focus distance and depth of field, allowing you to quickly recognize your focusing parameters. As an autofocus lens, it uses linear motors for fast, quiet, and smooth focusing, making it suitable for both photo and video applications. Additionally, this lens is equipped with optical image stabilization to minimize motion blur during longer shutter speeds. The dust and weather-resistant construction makes it suitable for shooting in challenging environments.
