With the help of the reflector, you can create fill light to illuminate shadowy areas of your subject. This way, a subject can be evenly lit and free of shadows. This works even when you only have a single light source coming from the side. To fill in the shadowy areas, simply place the reflector on the side of the subject that is away from the light source. Additionally, the reflector can be used to bounce light onto your subject in backlit situations, preventing it from disappearing into shadow. The reflector has a white side and a gold side. The white surface does not affect the color temperature of the reflected light. However, the light reflected from it is slightly softer than the light reflected from the gold surface.
