Articulating arms or friction arms have long been an essential part of photographer and videographer equipment. Whenever you need to attach, align, lock, or simply secure your gear, using an articulating arm is unavoidable. In addition to the smaller articulating arm variants with a 1/4" connection (Item No. 18316 with 18 cm or Item No. 18582 with 28 cm length), walimex pro now also offers a large friction arm model in an extremely sturdy design for heavier loads such as DSLRs, video cameras, lighting, flash heads, and more. The two arms feature 5/8” spigots, making them compatible with all common super clamps that have the appropriate socket. Thanks to the internal threads (1x 1/4“ and 1x 3/8“) in the spigots, nearly any photo and video accessory can be screwed in or adapted, significantly expanding the range of applications for this articulating arm. The large and textured handwheel allows you to securely lock the articulating arm in the desired position. The detent in the central axis additionally prevents slipping or sagging of the arm. These robust and stable articulating arms have been in use for years not only in photography and video productions but also in event management and healthcare, providing secure equipment attachment and adaptation of medical devices. The load capacity is approximately 5 kg, and the total length is 53 cm.
