Product details
A classic with excellent imaging performance. This lens telephoto lens is quite handy and lightweight despite its length of approximately 300 mm. Its design, utilizing only 5 lenses in 4 groups, allows for outstanding, color-accurate, and sharp images without disturbing field curvature. The relative aperture of 1:8.0 enables outdoor use for wildlife photography or detail shots in landscapes.
The preset aperture allows you to set the desired aperture in advance. This can then be adjusted from the largest opening to the preset value with a quick turn of the finger. The advantage: maximum viewfinder brightness when focusing and lightning-fast selection of the preset aperture for photography or filming.
The attached 360° rotatable tripod mount allows for balanced attachment to a tripod and switching between portrait and landscape orientation.
The lens operates in automatic exposure or manual mode on most cameras. For more details, please refer to your camera's manual.
T2 connection, operating tip: The T2 adapter is screwed onto the lens, and then the lens is locked in place. The side screws on the T2 adapter allow for "uprighting" the lens after loosening them - aligning the index for infinity or the depth of field marks upwards. Retightening the screws securely holds the lens and adapter in place.
Advantages of a full-frame lens on a camera with an APS-C sensor: Save time in post-processing. Many lens errors such as distortion, edge softness, or vignetting occur in the outer areas of the image. By using a lens designed for full-frame on a camera with an APS-C sensor, these areas are not utilized. This way, you achieve maximum quality, eliminating the need for additional post-processing time to correct lens errors.
