Serial Interface RS-232/485

The serial interface module allows the connection of devices with RS-485, RS-422, or RS-232 interfaces to the WAGO I/O SYSTEM 750. This enables the realization of gateways from the fieldbuses supported by the WAGO I/O SYSTEM 750 to a serial interface. The module does not support higher protocol layers. Communication is completely transparent to the associated fieldbus master, allowing for a wide range of applications for the serial interface module. Any required communication protocols can be flexibly programmed in the fieldbus master.

The 2560-byte receive buffer allows the module to be used even at high transmission rates. At low data transmission rates, the evaluation of received data in low-priority tasks can be achieved without data loss.

The 512-byte transmit buffer enables the rapid sending of larger contiguous data. The module can be freely configured via WAGO-IO-CHECK or GSD files and allows for optimal adaptation to the respective application through flexible selection of baud rate and data width.
