Product details

Supports 10BaseT according to IEEE 802.3, 100BaseTX according to IEEE 802.3u, and Flow Control (Ethernet flow control) according to IEEE 802.3x. The compact plastic housing, certified to IP30 protection class, is designed for use in harsh and demanding industrial environments where larger temperature differences and physical stresses are common. The ETHSW50K is an unmanaged and plug-and-play capable switch with a non-blocking/wirespeed Layer-2 switching engine. The store and forward operating mode ensures secure transmission. The optional Flooding Storm Control feature protects against unwanted occupation of the available transmission rate by broadcast or multicast data frames. The switch has a redundant power input and a fault relay for signaling an error condition. This ensures uninterrupted operation and direct fault detection in the event of a power supply failure or loss of one power supply unit. By implementing IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet, the energy consumption of idle ports can be significantly reduced.
