Vaxis Atom A5

The compact Atom A5 monitor from Vaxis enables wireless transmission, reception, monitoring, and recording of video transmissions in high quality.

The Atom A5 features a 5.5-inch touchscreen with a sharp 1920 x 1080 resolution, 1200:1 contrast ratio, 401 PPI, and 1000 cd/m² brightness. The built-in wireless transmitters and receivers allow video to be sent and received between the Atom wireless transmitters and receivers at a distance of up to 150 meters. The sharpness of the monitor makes it the ideal companion for wireless follow focus.

The monitor supports video inputs up to 1080p60 via its HDMI input and has an HDMI loop output to send video to an external display. The program can also be recorded as an MP4 proxy via the integrated microSD/TF card slot. The integrated CINE OS software provides various image editing tools such as scopes, peaking, and the storage of up to 50 3D LUTs on the monitor.

The Atom A5 has an HDMI input and an HDMI loop output, as well as a 3.5 mm headphone output. Record MP4 video files to a microSD/TF card via the integrated media slot, and the Atom A5 also enables instant playback of the material. It is compatible with the Atom ecosystem, including Atom 500 HDMI or SDI, Atom 600 KV TX, and Atom A5H.

The Atom A5 can synchronize the timecode with the camera so that the recording on the monitor can be started simultaneously with the camera recording. The updated CINE OS software offers various image processing tools such as peaking and scopes and supports up to 50 3D LUTs that can be stored on the monitor. The two antennas are interchangeable and can be replaced by optional antennas with a longer range. There are two integrated NP-F970 battery packs on the back.
