CCA refers to bi-metallic single and multi-core cables with copper-clad aluminium core for higher frequency applications. Explanation of specification: The so-called skin effect or current displacement is a physical phenomenon caused by higher-frequency alternating currents. The current density inside the conductor becomes lower than that on the outer surface as the frequency increases. The inner cross-sectional area of a conductor through which a high-frequency alternating current flows assumes practically no transmission function. The network cable - CCA thus represents a real low-cost and weight-reduced alternative to the conventional solid copper cable and this with equivalent performance and transmission characteristics.
