About the Work
This work is dedicated to the highly diverse and complex field of transport insurance, providing a standalone commentary. Initially, it focuses on the insurance sectors that are in international competition and can be considered transport insurance in a narrower sense, namely cargo and hull insurance, including marine insurance. This is followed by a discussion of liability insurance in transportation, which also addresses the complicated and often opaque subject of liability risks in national and international transport law. Additionally, it covers special branches of transport insurance, such as the insurance of cameras or hunting and sporting firearms.

Regarding the New Edition
The third edition takes into account the general developments in practice and case law, as well as changes in the GDV's policy conditions, and for the first time includes explanations of the special conditions for coverage of loss of earnings (DTV-BB VEA), DTV conditions for monitoring and fire-fighting measures for the insurance of construction, renovation, and repair risks of ships, the DTV Danube clause regarding the General Terms and Conditions for river hull insurance, as well as the DTV river hull insurance takeover clause, and the Cyber and Blackout exclusion clause. Furthermore, new explanations regarding drone insurance and an overview of the General German Marine Insurance Conditions (ADS 1919) have been included.
