The vertical mounting plate features a built-in cold shoe connection as well as 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads for mounting wireless video transmitters, onboard monitors, external microphones, and other accessories when shooting in a standard horizontal configuration.

This plate can also be used in conjunction with the Quick Release Baseplate for the Sony FX6 to mount the camera in a vertical configuration.
