Product details

The book will be presented as part of the NÖ State Exhibition 2017 at the Truckerhaus in Gutenbrunn and is sponsored by renowned companies from the Waldviertel region. This book addresses new findings regarding the family history of this "economic refugee," a Czech glass expert, which have been overlooked by local literature until now. For example, the father of the world-famous glass artist is referred to differently than previously known in the German-speaking world, and he had not five but nine siblings. The book also dispels the myth that his technique is untraceable, which has long been uncovered by glass experts. Not all residents of Waldviertel are aware that such a famous "Zuagroaster" from the Giant Mountains lived and worked in Gutenbrunn. After all, a single piece of glass created by him sold for 42,000 euros at an auction in Heilbronn in 2007.
