The 20-40mm F/2.8 is a unique standard zoom lens with a high light intensity, making it easy to carry for everyday shots, whether for photos or videos. The lens is designed for Sony's E-Mount full-frame mirrorless cameras and is ideal for daily use. It is the smallest and lightest lens in its class, starting at 20mm in the ultra-wide-angle range and extending to 40mm in the standard focal length range. The 20-40mm F2.8 delivers stunning images throughout the entire zoom range and is excellent for photography as well as for creating vlogs and other video content. The lens is equipped with Tamron's VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive), an AF drive system with a linear motor focus mechanism. The VXD is characterized by outstanding quietness and agile performance, enabling fast and highly precise autofocus. With a minimum object distance of just 0.17m and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:3.8 in the wide-angle range, the lens offers exceptional capabilities for close-ups and also allows for macro shots in the wide-angle range.
