The 2nd generation - top performance redefined. As the successor to the A036 model, the new 28-75mm offers improved image and autofocus performance as well as customised functions. Spectacular optical performance for inspiring creativity. The 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III VXD G2 (model A063) is a fast standard zoom lens for Nikon Z full-frame mirrorless system cameras and the successor to the popular 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD (model A036). High resolution and outstanding image quality are among its most important innovations. The new lens has a revised optical system, but is just as compact as its predecessor. The optical design includes LD (Low Dispersion) and GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) lens elements to minimise aberrations. The imaging performance is very high at any focal length and over the entire image range. A marvellous bokeh effect is created at open aperture. With these and many other new functions, the 28-75mm F/2.8 G2 is the first choice for anyone who wants to maximise their creativity. The following cable (not included) is required to connect the lens to the software: 06CC150.

When Tamron relaunches its standard zoom, we are always particularly excited and expectations are high. Version III costs 950 euros - and delivers as expected. At 28 mm, the resolution at both measured apertures is a good 2500 LP - a good, if not top value. At 46 mm, the resolution in the centre unfortunately drops by 160 LP (aperture 2.8) and 110 LP (aperture 5.6), but the contrast remains very high...
