With the ICUSB422IS 1-Port Metal Industrial USB to RS422/RS485 Serial Adapter with Isolation, you can connect serial RS-422 or RS-485 devices to a computer through a USB port. You can use either the included DB9 port or the hardwired terminal block for this purpose. The USB-to-serial adapter features circuit isolation to ensure that sensitive controls and devices are not damaged, making it a practical solution for connecting expensive serial devices in industrial settings. The RS422/485 adapter is fully powered through the host connection and passes this power on to the connected serial devices, eliminating the need for an external power adapter.
