The eSATA SATA adapter plate from StarTech.com adds external data support to any existing Serial ATA controller.

The adapter plate can be mounted on the back of the computer case and allows for easy eSATA-to-SATA connections, enabling users to connect their eSATA device (such as an external hard drive enclosure) to the provided eSATA port, which serves as an extension of the motherboard's SATA data port.

Designed to leverage the increased data integrity provided by external hard drives or RAID devices that support eSATA connections, the eSATA SATA adapter supports data transfer rates of up to 6 Gbps and is backed by StarTech.com's lifetime warranty.
