Upgrade your low-profile or small form factor computer with 2 high-speed RS-232 serial ports via a PCI Express expansion slot.

The Low Profile/Half Height PCI Express Serial Card PEX2S553LP transforms any PCI Express slot into two serial RS232 (DB9) ports.

This card is designed with a native single-chip architecture, allowing you to take full advantage of PCI Express (PCIe) while reducing CPU load by up to 48% compared to traditional serial bridge chip cards.

The serial PCI Express RS232 adapter card is compatible with a wide range of operating systems, including Windows and Linux Kernel 2.6.11 to 4.11.x, and comes with an installed low-profile/half-height bracket. An optional full-profile bracket is also included, enabling you to add two serial ports to virtually any computer, regardless of the case form factor.

This product is a replacement for our PEX2S552LP card.
