This controller card features a mounting bracket for flat or half-height and includes 4 ports for PCI Express 2.0 SATA III with 6 Gbps. The StarTech 4-Port PCI Express 2.0 SATA with HyperDuo controller card adds 4 AHCI SATA III ports to your computer via the PCIe slot (x2) and provides multiple internal connections with 6 Gbps for high-performance hard drives and SSDs.

With HyperDuo technology, the SATA card offers automatic SSD classification to balance the performance benefits of an SSD. It supports HyperDuo's automatic SSD classification, hardware RAID modes 0, 1, and 1+0, which can be configured through the BIOS. Additionally, it supports Native Command Queue (NCQ) for ATA/ATAPI commands and is compatible with HDDs, SSDs, optical drives, and Blu-ray drives.

The card fully complies with SATA 3.0 specifications and is backward compatible with SATA I/II drives (1.5/3.0 Gbps). It meets PCI Express 2.0 standards and features a port multiplier that supports FIS-based and command-based switching. The natively supported single-chip design allows for easy HyperDuo configuration through the card's BIOS or an intuitive GUI console (Windows only). LED connectors are included to provide LED indicators for HDD activity.
