From "Attrappenonkel" to "Die Bierschaumgeborene" and "Tschick" to "Ziegen-Bock": literature is filled with numerous nicknames. They often succinctly express what people think of someone or how they perceive them – similar to a caricature that sharply highlights a person's characteristics. They can be charmingly cheerful, but also malicious and hurtful.
