All XGS Series firewall appliances are based on a dual-processor architecture that combines a high-performance multi-core CPU with a dedicated Xstream flow processor for targeted hardware-level acceleration.

The desktop appliances are the ideal choice for customers looking for an all-in-one network security solution with seamless connectivity. All desktop models are optionally available with integrated WLAN. All models are equipped with a high-speed CPU and dedicated Xstream Flow processor for powerful hardware acceleration. Sophos Firewall's Xstream architecture is designed to deliver extremely high levels of visibility, protection and performance, enabling administrators to easily meet the toughest challenges of today's networks.
