The DC-78 is a compact inline power supply for Sony lavalier microphones. It can be used to configure the popular ECM-44/77BC and ECM-88 for use as wired microphones.
- Designed for use with Sony lavalier microphones with a 4-pin connector (SMC9-4P).
- Two power supply options: battery operation (with an AA (LR6) alkaline battery) or external DC operation (12 to 48 V).
- Includes an SMC9-4S input connector and a 3-pin XLR output connector.
Flexibility: With the DC-78, Sony ECM microphones such as the ECM-44BC, 77BC, and 88 can be used as wired microphones. The DC-78 is a compact inline unit with a 4-pin socket for an ECM microphone, an AA battery compartment, and an XLR output connector. The flexibility of the unit allows for additional working methods, such as switching between wireless and wired modes.
Versatile power supply options: For use as a wired microphone, Sony ECM models can be powered by the internal AA battery of the DC-78 or via an external phantom power supply (48 volts).
