You can live with certain limitations as long as the image quality is right. If you think this way, you can confidently go for the Sony A7II instead of investing almost a thousand euros more for the A7III. Like the Nikon Z5, the A7II is equipped with a sensor-shift image stabiliser and offers image quality comparable to the Canon RP. Buy tip: price/performance.
Evolution instead of revolution was Sony's credo in the development of the Alpha 7 II. Apart from the image stabiliser, the improvements are mainly in the details. For example, the optimised handling thanks to the good positioning of the shutter release or the splash-proof housing.
The Sony Alpha 7 II is a successful further development of its predecessor, which is still on offer: the image quality has improved slightly, the autofocus reacts more quickly and the continuous shooting speed is significantly higher. Thanks to the larger grip, the Alpha 7 II also fits better in the hand...
Exceptionally good system camera for the highest demands (almost very good). With very good electronic viewfinder, very large image converter and network function. Top mark in the eye test. All-round good, monitor can be folded, fast camera, basic handles work easily, many extras and functions. Disadvantage: relatively expensive.
The Sony A7II is definitely an excellent camera. Operation and handling have improved compared to the previous model. The image quality is right up to ISO 3200, the autofocus works reliably in most cases, and the matching Sony FE lens park is growing. It is difficult to classify the camera...
