Product details
The Sontronics Mercury is a large diaphragm tube condenser microphone designed for professional studio recordings. This microphone features a variable polar pattern and is equipped with a hand-selected European ECC81/12AT7 tube, delivering a warm, rich sound with an exceptionally low self-noise of under 12 dB A-weighted. The polar pattern can be continuously adjusted from omnidirectional to figure-eight via the separate power supply. Professional controls include attenuation levels at 0 dB and -10 dB, as well as a low-pass filter at 75 Hz for tailored frequency responses. With high-quality components under 1% tolerance, the microphone offers reliable performance in various recording situations. The included power supply features medical-grade noise filtering for signal purity. It is suitable for vocal recordings, solo instruments, ensemble recordings, voiceovers, and various acoustic sources such as piano, string instruments, acoustic guitar, guitar amplifiers, brass instruments, woodwinds, ethnic instruments, drums, percussion, choir recordings, orchestra recordings, and room microphone setups. Its robust construction ensures durability in professional studio environments while maintaining consistent audio quality over extended recording sessions.
