3D Printer Filament Drying Desiccant. Wet 3D printing filament can cause many problems. In fact, many of the issues attributed to hotends or nozzles can be traced back to filament that has absorbed too much moisture. The team at Slice Engineering is based in humid Florida, which led them to seek a simple solution to prevent moisture from damaging the printers. The 3D printer filament desiccant was the result. Usage: To use the desiccant for 3D printer filament, simply remove the outer shrink wrap and take off the cap, then place the container in the center of the filament spool. Store the spool in an airtight container and watch the humidity decrease.
