Product details

The extremely precise bokeh allows you to focus, for example, on the model's pupil while simultaneously letting the eyelashes blur. In addition to this impressive bokeh, the focus area is extremely high resolution. The Sigma 85mm F1.4 DG HSM Art features 14 lens elements in 12 groups - a remarkable structure that contributes to the ultra-high resolution of the lens. Therefore, this lens is an excellent choice for full-frame DSLRs with a resolution of 50 megapixels and more. To create an 85mm F1.4 lens that delivers such peak performance, Sigma utilized its latest innovations in design and materials. The result is the ultimate lens for portraits. This lens minimizes chromatic aberrations to an absolute minimum, providing performance that surpasses everything known, including stunning resolution and dreamy bokeh. Meanwhile, there are full-frame DSLRs in the ultra-high megapixel range with resolutions of 50 or more megapixels, and nothing showcases the performance potential of these cameras better than the lens's capabilities. The Sigma 85mm F1.4 DG HSM Art includes two elements made of SLD glass (Special Low Dispersion) as well as one element with anomalous partial dispersion and a high refractive index. These features contribute to a clear image across the entire image plane. Furthermore, the optical design minimizes sagittal coma, allowing for outstanding image quality without any streaking - even at wide apertures.
