The 20mm F2 DG DN | Contemporary achieves high imaging performance from the center to the edges even at its maximum aperture of F2. Based on the most advanced technology in lens construction, the design includes three high-precision molded aspherical elements and one SLD and one FLD lens to correct optical aberrations. The result is sharp and contrast-rich photos all the way to the corners of the image. By focusing on reducing sagittal coma, which is difficult to correct in post-processing, the developers have achieved precise rendering of very bright light points. This results in excellent sharpness across the entire image field, which is particularly beneficial for astrophotography.

Source: Digitec GalaxusThe new Sigma i-series lens, which costs 700 euros, is specially designed for mirrorless cameras. This is especially important for wide-angle lenses, because without a mirror box the distance to the sensor shrinks, which makes the lens construction easier. Open, the resolution in the centre of the image is good to very good, the contrast very high...
The new Sigma lens fits very well into the manufacturer's i-Series model range thanks to its outstanding imaging performance. It expands this product line with a powerful wide-angle solution that enables exceptional perspectives and image effects.
