Scalance X202-2P IRT Pro is a managed industrial Ethernet switch with a protection class of IP65/67. It features 2x 10/100 Mbit/s Push Pull RJ45 ports and 2x 100 Mbit/s Push Pull SCRJ ports, along with a fault reporting contact and a set button. The device includes a redundant power supply and is a PROFINET IO device with network management capabilities. It has an integrated redundancy manager and comes with an electronic manual on CD-ROM, with an optional C-PLUG available.

This managed, Layer 2 compact switch is designed for clock-synchronous applications outside the control cabinet, making it suitable for high-performance motion control applications via IRT. It offers fast media redundancy and optimal performance through a combination of Cut Through and Store and Forward switching mechanisms, ensuring high network availability in ring structures and shock-free redundancy using the PROFINET-compliant MRPD method.

Secure data communication is achieved through robust, industrial-grade device connections using PROFINET-compliant connectors with additional strain and bend relief. The device provides significant advantages in engineering, commissioning, and operational phases through integrated project planning and diagnostics in STEP 7. Device replacement without a programming device is possible using the exchange medium C-PLUG.

Additional features include PROFINET diagnostics and device diagnostics via LED indicators, SNMP access, an integrated web server, and an automatic email function for remote diagnostics and signaling over the network. The switch is splash-proof with a protection class of IP65/67 and operates on DC 24 V. It includes extensive accessories such as the exchange medium C-PLUG, SITOP PSU100C 24 V/0.6 A for regulated power supply, IE SC RJ POF and PCF screw connectors, and their corresponding assembly cases for on-site installation, RJ45 connectors, and various cable types.
