The Unidyne III capsule features only one diaphragm with a pneumatic shock absorber. The advantages of the Dualdyne technology are rooted in the additional second diaphragm. The Dualdyne capsule construction consists of two extremely thin diaphragms – one active and one passive – along with an inverted airflow system.
