Ideal for all soft start/soft stop applications where load control at different power levels is required, such as for heating elements, lamp brightness, or motor speed (e.g., in a fan). The custom model MCS/PC SSR offers the same ramp function as the standard series MCS models, but the relay includes an additional phase control function. The customer can specify how much power should be applied to the load and then gradually increase this setting. If the power level is adjusted during operation, the relay will slowly transition to the new setting. A portion of each AC sine wave can be used to control the power output to an electrical load, with the amount of power transmitted determined by the input value.
