If a backplane is mounted on the rear horizontal rail, the insulating strips can be used as an intermediate layer. If connectors are mounted according to IEC 60602-3/DIN 41612, additional perforated rails must be mounted on the insulating strip of the rear horizontal rail. This shielded subrack has a typical shielding of 40 dB at 1 GHz (front side with shielded front panels). Reinforced horizontal rails provide additional stability and are shock- and vibration-resistant according to IEC 61587-1. The horizontal rails, mounting brackets, and rear corners are made of anodized aluminum extrusion material. The side panels are made of lightly chrome-plated aluminum, 2.0 mm thick. The backplane is made of 2.5 mm thick aluminum, with an anodized exterior and yellow chrome-plated interior. The cover plate is made of 0.8 mm thick aluminum, with a 4.0 mm perforation and an airflow of 60%. The contact surfaces are electrically conductive.
