If a rear panel is mounted on the rear horizontal rail, the insulating strips can be used as an intermediate layer. If connectors are mounted according to IEC 60602-3/DIN 41612, additional perforated rails must be mounted on the insulating strip of the rear horizontal rail. This shielded subrack has a typical shielding of 40 dB at 1 GHz (front with shielded front panels). Reinforced horizontal rails provide additional stability, and it is shock and vibration resistant according to IEC 61587-1. The horizontal rails, mounting flanges, and rear corners are made of anodized aluminum extrusion. The side panels are made of light chrome-plated aluminum, 2.0 mm thick. The rear panel is 2.5 mm thick aluminum, with an anodized outer surface and yellow chrome-plated inside. The cover plate is 0.8 mm thick aluminum, with perforation of 4.0 mm and an air flow of 60%. The contact surfaces are electrically conductive.
