Preventa XPS universal safety relay. This multifunctional safety relay is designed for a wide range of safety applications, featuring selectable safety functions and a start option via a rotary switch on the front, along with diagnostic communication to the PLC. It is suitable for mechanical contacts in emergency stops, position or magnetic switches, safety mats, and electronic PNP/NPN sensors, as well as light curtains or RFID safety switches with OSSD outputs. The start function can be set to automatic, manual, or monitored start, and includes a start-up test. It has one redundant safety circuit and allows for the selection of one of ten safety functions. The outputs include three safe relays that can be undelayed or optionally delayed, along with one status and one diagnostics output. The safe switch-off delay ranges from 0.1 seconds to 15 minutes for SS1 or Stop1 functions. The clocked output transmits extensive diagnostic data to the PLC at standard input and evaluation via function block. The safety level is PL e, Category 4, SIL3. The supply voltage ranges from 48 to 240 VAC/DC, and it features removable spring-loaded terminals and a lateral plug connector for direct connection of contact extensions without wiring.
