This analog safety input module is part of the Modicon X80 series, which offers common input/output and communication modules, power supplies, and racks for Modicon M340 and Modicon M580. This product consists of 4 isolated input channels. This safety module can be used in harsher environments and operates within an extended temperature range of -25°C to +60°C, requiring the Modicon M580 Safety processor. Modicon X80 modules provide a unified environment for the use of I/O modules in automation architectures, reducing spare parts inventory as well as maintenance and training costs. Connection is made via a detachable 20-pin terminal block. This product meets the protection class IP20 and offers an MTBF of 463,104 hours. This module has been certified by TÜV Rheinland up to SIL2/SIL3 according to IEC 61508/61511 for processes. It has been certified for up to SILCL3 according to IEC 62061 and up to Cat. 4/Ple according to ISO 13849 for machinery, as well as up to SIL4 according to EN 50126/502128/50129 for rail transport. This product is certified by CE, UL, CSA, RCM, EAC, UKCA, and the Merchant Marine, and complies with the standards EN 61000-6-5, EN 61850-3, and EN 61131-2. This module is compatible with safety PLCs featuring a 20-pin cage, screw terminal, or removable spring terminal block. The height of the I/O module is greater than that of a standard rack (Ethernet or X-Bus) and should be taken into account before installing the rack. The product must be mounted in the module carrier and secured with 2 screws.
