Product details: Emergency stop - latching. All emergency stop switches are designed to avoid or reduce potential hazards to individuals, damage to machinery, or ongoing work. The switches are also designed to be activated by a single action performed by a person when the normal stop function is insufficient in the situation. They can arise from the following: functional irregularities (machine malfunction, unacceptable properties of the processed material, human error) during normal operation. The Harmony XAP series is designed for control and signaling devices with a diameter of 22 mm. It has an IP protection class covering: IP65 in accordance with IEC 60529 and IP657 in accordance with NF C 20-010. The air temperature for this XAP range varies from -40 °C to 70 °C. The colors and their appearance are regulated in the standards EN/IEC 60947-5-5, EN/IEC 60204-1, and EN ISO 13850, which clearly state that buttons used as actuating elements for emergency stop units must be colored red. If the actuating element has a background, it must be colored yellow wherever possible. It is the responsibility of the planner and installer to be aware of the applicable standards, safety requirements, regulations, laws, and other guidelines.
