Should spacers be installed between the iCT series contactors? When multiple contactors are mounted on a DIN rail, spacers should be used after every second contactor. The reason for this is that when multiple contactors are placed side by side, there can be significant heat buildup, causing the devices to exceed their operating temperature. The coils themselves are designed to be 100% operational, allowing them to be on 24 hours a day, and heat must be dissipated, hence a spacer is required.
