Product details
The Samyang 35mm f/1.4 wide-angle lens impresses with its brightness and image quality. As is typical for Samyang, both focus and aperture are manually adjusted, allowing you to set the sweet spot exactly where you want it. The brightness of f/1.4 is ideal for photography in low light conditions. Moreover, the potential for subject isolation is enormous, with the subject surrounded by a creamy bokeh at wide open aperture.
A 35mm prime lens is often referred to as a reportage lens because it allows the photographer to dive deeper into a scene. This way, the photographer can convey to the viewer the feeling of being right there on site. However, the 63° field of view (40° on APS-C) is also ideal for landscape photography.
The 12 lenses are arranged in 10 groups and housed in a robust casing. Thanks to the aspherically ground lens and the two high-refractive glasses within the lens, optical errors are minimized even at wide open aperture. The metal mount adds to the high-quality impression of this light giant. With its internal focusing, the compact dimensions of the lens remain unchanged, leaving no doubt that this is a meticulously produced product that does not need to hide.
