Rugged design, thermocouples type J and K. Thermocouples type K and J are devices for temperature measurement, consisting of two wires made of different materials. When these two wires are connected together, they form an electrical connection. As soon as the temperature at this connection changes, a voltage is generated which can be used to read the temperature. This is commonly referred to as the Seebeck effect.

Features and benefits include a 316 stainless steel probe with a silver soldered tip, measuring Ø 4.5 mm x 150 mm. Optionally available with bare lead wire or standard connector termination with cable clamps. The 2 m cable is 7/0.2 mm with fiberglass insulation and stainless steel braid. It comes with a three-year warranty and features a grounded measuring point. The temperature range is -60 to +350 °C.

Types of thermocouples:
Type K thermocouples are among the most common due to their low cost and high accuracy, offering reliability and a wide temperature range.
Type J thermocouples are also widely used, known for their low cost, good performance, and high reliability, though they can be used in higher temperature ranges which may shorten their life.
Type T thermocouples provide stability and consistency, typically used in exceptionally low temperatures, such as freezing.
Type N thermocouples have similar accuracy and temperature limits as type K but are slightly more expensive.
Type L thermocouples specialize in measuring liquids, such as liquid metals, and are often used in heating and apparatus engineering. They are also inexpensive, efficient, and reliable.
