The maximum temperature of the potting gasket is limited to 180°C. This is a mineral insulated probe, type K. It features very robust and flexible mineral insulated thermocouples suitable for high pressure and low pressure applications, capable of withstanding strong vibrations. The insulated (not grounded) tip has a stainless steel sheath with grade 310. Connection is via a 1 m PTFE insulated cable. The maximum tip temperature is 1100°C.
