The robust design features an MS3101A 10SL 2P connector. Magnetic transducer, analog. These transducers with analog output are available in three sizes: 1/4 inch (standard), 3/8 inch (high-speed operation), and 5/8 inch (robust design). They provide a cost-effective solution wherever a simple alternating signal form that matches the movement of the pole part is required. They are passive devices that do not require an external power supply. They output a voltage in response to changes in their self-induced magnetic field, caused by the proximity to moving ferrous metal parts. They are enclosed in steel for enhanced robustness and come with two mounting nuts. The output voltage is valid for a load of 100 kΩ with a 0.005-inch air gap at 20 kHz operation. This is quite close to the pickup, which is located 0.13 mm away from a gear with a diameter of 38 mm that has 30 teeth and rotates at 13000 RPM. The performance values may vary under different conditions and depend on the composition of the gear teeth. Under unusual conditions, they should be determined experimentally, taking the following points into account: Use the pickup with a high-resistance load and position the pickup as close as possible to the moving parts, considering safety. A gap of up to 2.5 mm is completely normal. In a gear system, use the pickup with the gear for the highest gear ratio.
