Copper disc thermocouples type K and J feature an unprotected contact point with a copper disk soldered to the tip. They offer fast response times, making them ideal for surface measurements. The heat-resistant self-adhesive Kapton strip measures 13 x 18 x 5 mm. The copper disk has a diameter of 6.35 mm and a thickness of 0.3 mm. It uses 1/0.2 mm Teflon-insulated twisted wire, available in cable lengths of 1 m or 2 m. These thermocouples provide good mechanical strength and flexibility, and they are resistant to oils, acids, and other harmful liquids, steam, and gases. They are suitable for test and development applications, with a temperature range of -0 °C to 200 °C. Color coding is according to IEC 584-2.
