Primarily used with water. When used in oil circuits, deviations in readings may occur due to the viscosity of the liquid. The paddle flow switch monitors the liquid flow using a paddle. A spring-loaded paddle made of stainless steel in the flow chamber is driven by the medium in the direction of flow. When a preset flow rate is reached, the magnet connected to the paddle approaches a magnet located outside the flow chamber, which is coupled with a microswitch. This creates a limit value when the actual flow rate is above or below a preset value. Relatively low pressure loss, insensitive to contamination, powerful microswitch. All function-critical parts are made of stainless steel. On-site adjustable switch for switching operations at decreasing flow. Typically used as an indicator that something is no longer functioning, e.g., in cooling circuits, heating/ventilation/air conditioning systems, laser circuits, heat exchange (water coolers).
