For filter shots and long exposures, photographers prefer durable and high-quality circular filters due to their compact design and flexible applications. They are also easier to transport, for example, in a camera backpack. The new premium neutral density filters are available individually or in practical sets. The Premium ND Filter Set includes an ND8, an ND64, and an ND1000 filter. These three intensities are excellent on their own for various photographic challenges, but when combined freely, they offer nearly endless possibilities to realize your creative shooting ideas.
The relatively moderate ND8 circular filter is used to prevent slight overexposures, gently smooth water surfaces, or create delicate motion effects. With the 6 stops of the ND64 circular filter, even longer exposure times can be achieved, transforming waves into nearly mirror-like surfaces. Additionally, unwanted people, vehicles, or animals can be removed from architectural photos. With the strong ND1000 filter (10 stops), less than 0.1 percent of the incoming light reaches your camera's sensor. For very demanding and elaborate long exposures, complex landscape and building shots, or for particularly striking motion effects, you would use the ND1000 with an optical density of 3.0. All three filters together or in the necessary pair combinations then open the door to extreme filter photography.
