RME Audio RME 12Mic-D

The RME 12Mic-D is a remote-controlled 12-channel microphone preamplifier featuring uncompromising A/D conversion, integrated Dante, ADAT, and MADI connectivity, along with a variety of functions that make it an ideal companion for any professional recording.

Connections and features include 1 headphone output, 4 XLR/TRS mic/instrument/line inputs, 8 XLR mic/line inputs, redundant power supplies, word clock I/O, MADI I/O coaxial, 3 ADAT outputs, optional MADI optical SFP, 2 gigabit Ethernet ports (802.3 compliant), and USB for firmware and remote control.

The 12Mic-D introduces a new core technology. In response to the evolving landscape of network audio solutions, the RME development team designed a high-performance device platform that ensures unrivaled flexibility and stability for years to come. Everything was developed from the ground up in line with RME's core principles. By integrating Audinate's Dante IP Core on a custom-built RME FPGA platform, RME delivers a highly flexible solution and moves closer to achieving a truly universal audio networking experience.

All device states can be controlled directly from the front panel using rotary encoders and several buttons, providing convenient access to all functions. Additionally, RME AVB devices can be fully remote controlled via a web interface or any network connection, including Wi-Fi, allowing for quick creation of gain groups, activation or deactivation of phantom power, and routing of signals to the headphone output for monitoring. The integrated routing matrix enables fast routing of any analog input, as well as all digital signals, directly to the headphone output, simplifying the resolution of signal, clocking, connection, or other issues.
