Triple MADI PCI-Express card with 390 channels. The HDSPe MADI FX sets a new milestone among RME audio interfaces. Never before has there been such a high-performance and powerful multichannel computer interface. 390 channels! Three MADI I/Os - two optical and one coaxial - are accompanied by an AES/EBU I/O and an analog monitor output. Additionally, there is a Wordclock I/O and a total of four MIDI I/Os. The complete technology and all connections are typically concentrated in a very compact space, requiring only one PCIe slot on the motherboard and a second free slot opening on the computer. To ensure RME's unique low-latency performance even with such a high number of channels, a new modular high-tech audio core has been developed, capable of processing more than three times the channel count of the previous RME MADI flagship while requiring even less system load. Given a powerful computer, record-breaking latencies of up to 32 samples can be achieved even when using all 390 channels. An advanced efficiency technology automatically disables channels that are not currently in use, so they require no processing power. With a simple stereo signal, the computer is not burdened more than with a basic stereo card - despite being a professional multichannel system with nearly 400 channels!
