The HDSPe AES is a short-length PCI-Express card featuring AES/EBU interfaces. It offers eight AES/EBU inputs (16 channels) and eight outputs (16 channels) at 192 kHz. The features are completed by two MIDI I/O ports, Wordclock I/O, and the optionally available TCO module for synchronization with LTC and video. The HDSPe AES boasts a range of thoughtful features and special characteristics, including support for up to 192 kHz with full channel count, direct support for Double and Quad Wire transmission, direct conversion between these formats, SteadyClock for maximum jitter suppression and clock refresh, a simple and clear user interface, and TotalMix: a 512-channel mixer with 42-bit internal resolution, featuring 48 level meters for Peak/RMS calculated in hardware. The specifications include a PCI Express interface, 16 input channels, 16 output channels, 8 x AES/EBU I/O, 2 x MIDI I/O, Wordclock I/O, and TotalMix. Optional expansions include the HDSP TCO Timecode Option Module with enhanced sync capabilities for HDSP cards: 1 x Wordclock I/O, 1 x Video Sync Input (alternative to WC In), and 1 x LTC I/O.
